TACDC Fact Sheet
Mission Statement
TACDC improves the lives of low and moderate income Texans by strengthening the capacity of community development organizations as well as generating resources and relationships that enhance and sustain the community development industry in Texas.
Company Overview
The Texas Association of Community Development Corporations (TACDC) is a non-profit statewide membership association of Community Development Corporations (CDCs) and related non-profit, government, and for-profit entities engaged in producing affordable housing and community economic development. We advocate for a supportive environment at the local, state, and federal levels on behalf of those that create and preserve homes, jobs, small businesses and other community assets.
Administration
TACDC is governed by a 15-person member-elected, volunteer Board of Directors. 12 represent CDCs and 3 represent non-profit or government organizations that are deeply involved with community development. In addition, the Roundtable Board includes 14 representatives of national financial intermediaries and private lending institutions. The TACDC Roundtable discusses and suggests policy for the Board's consideration and supports TACDC's work with their financial and staff resources.
