TACDC Advocacy Research and Publications

TACDC's research program regularly produces reports on the status of the community economic development industry in Texas. By working with practitioners and experts in the field, TACDC develops a research agenda that reflects the advocacy and capacity building needs of our constituents. The purpose of the research program is to provide innovative research, salient data, and cutting-edge information to policymakers, CDCs, and other constituents on community development issues. The research program helps support other TACDC programs such as Advocacy and Capacity Building programs.

TACDC publications include several bi-annual reports that analyze and summarize the management, impact, and programs of CDCs throughout Texas. The Building a Future series provides an insightful overview of the productivity of CDCs in Texas using a range of housing and economic data collected from surveys. See the list of publications below for more information and to read their executive summaries.
