The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the daily execution of NALCAB’s federal policy strategy including collaborating with national partners and coalitions. The candidate will coordinate meetings with government representatives, federal agencies, and others with an emphasis on the U.S. Congress and the administration on behalf of NALCAB and its membership. The Senior Manager will keep track of potential legislation and regulatory changes that will impact the mission of the organization. Under the direct supervision of NALCAB’s Sr. Manager, Communications, the Communications Coordinator will provide support in the development and implementation of a wide variety of communications activities and strategies to include social media, media relations, marketing, and website maintenance and donor program. The coordinator will also serve as editor for NALCAB’s electronic newsletter. One of the primary responsibilities of the coordinator is the marketing and communications of the organization in an effort to promote a positive public image of NALCAB among its stakeholders.


The Housing Development Director will manage the operations of CDCB’s Development Line of Business and will supervise the housing development project team. Responsibilities include supervision and training of staff, program development, resource development and management of all single family and multifamily housing and community development projects, management of consulting contracts, managing relations with partners, lenders investors, and syndication of low income housing tax credit projects, including presenting status of projects to CDCB’s partners, development committee and Board of Directors. A key element of the Housing Director's job is the creation and implementation of innovative development solutions to address the housing needs in the Rio Grande Valley and meeting CDCB’s housing production goals of 700 units over the next five years.
 

Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Senior Manager, Communications will be responsible for the development of NALCAB’s communication strategy and will contribute to NALCAB’s strategic planning process. The Senior Manager, Communications will develop a communications plan for NALCAB, directly managing communications activities that promote, enhance and protect the organization’s brand reputation, and other duties as assigned. This position will be responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization and leadership. This individual will be an ambassador for the organization and will need to build relationships with the media. The goal is to advance the organization’s position with relevant constituents, as well as to drive broader awareness and donor support for the organization. The Senior Manager, Communications will be responsible for NALCAB’s varied and integrated communications products and services including: newsletters and other print publications, web, and other online communications; templates and communication support to members; media and public relations; and marketing.
