TRCC Approved Builder Trainings

Also approved by TREC for MCE Elective Credit!
To date:  Over 4,500  Texas Home Builders and Remodelers have received their TRCC Required Continuing Education from TACDC!

The TACDC Builder’s Continuing Education Course is approved by TRCC to provide you with all five hours required to keep your Builder Registration in good standing. It is also approved by TREC for Real Estate Agents: CEUs (05-00-011-7769). Here are just a few reasons why you will want to join over 4,500 Texas Home Builders who have received their continuing education hours from TACDC:

  • TACDC has a 99% satisfaction rate with those we have trained. The TACDC Builder Continuing Education course is sponsored by companies like McCoy’s Building Supply, CitiBank, Builder’s Journal, Price Pfister, and Huber Wood Products, companies who are particular about the company they keep.

  • TACDC has a staff of three TRCC-approved trainers. Unlike some “one man” shows, we never have to cancel a training because the trainer didn’t show up. TACDC trainers rotate during the five hours of training to keep the pace quick and interesting.

  • TACDC has NEVER cancelled a scheduled training. Unlike some other part-time training enterprises that announce a date and location, but cancel it when too few builders sign up, TACDC has never cancelled a scheduled training and left it’s registrants “high and dry”.

  • TACDC will get you started on time and finished on time. And serve you a good meal for lunch.

  • TACDC handles your paper work with TRCC for you. If a question ever arises about the status of your Continuing Education, we’re there to verify on your behalf.

  • TACDC is a non-profit organization that has been in continuous operation serving the housing development industry with education, training, and advocacy for 16 years. Our motive is service, not profit. Like a dependable builder, we were here yesterday, are here today, and will still be here tomorrow.

NEW!
Now Get CEUs for Real Estate Agents

Builder-Realtors: If you also have a Real Estate license you can now get DOUBLE credit for taking the Builder Continuing Education Course. Our course has just been approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission for five hours of MCE Elective Credit (“Residential Real Estate from the Builder’s Perspective”, course number 05-00-011-7769). If you want credit with both TRCC and TREC, simply let us know. The double credit costs only an additional thirty dollars to cover the cost of documentation and will get you ten hours of credit for only five hours of your time!

Real Estate Agents: You may now take this course for five hours of MCE Elective Credit. The Course is approved as “Residential Real Estate from the Builder’s Perspective”, TREC course number 05-00-011-7769. Very much different from most RE CEUs, this course provides you with essential information on new statutory warrantees, builder vs. homeowner responsibilities, the dispute resolution process within TRCC, and how these laws and rules may impact you and your clients. You receive the same practical illustrations of construction defects vs. maintenance issues as the builder sitting beside you. And you get the benefit of real-life examples of resolutions to sticky real estate problems – the very kind you may encounter in your business. The course fee for either Builders or Real Estate Agents is the same -- $149.00. For Continuing Education credit with both the Texas Residential Construction Commission and the Texas Real Estate Commission simply add $30 for the cost of documentation.
